Personalized Shopping

I led design on three personalized shopping projects for amway.com: concepts for the Amway Creators app’s Storefronts and web-based MyShop and ShareBar. Features for Creators Storefronts were implemented on the web tools MyShop (a personalized storefront) and ShareBar (link sharing with commission attribution).

MyShop and ShareBar are two new consumer-facing features launched during the summer and fall of 2020 to help personalize the amway.com shopping experience. MyShop enables Amway distributors to create a digital storefront for sharing with customers. ShareBar allows distributors to share any product from the amway.com product catalog with their customers.


MyShop

Inspired by the Amway Creators Storefront experience, MyShop is a personalized e-commerce tool that utilizes the product catalog and digital capabilities of the newly re-launched amway.com to help Amway distributors sell to their customers online and earn attribution from each sale. This launched in 2020 and was one of the top tools used by Amway distributors in the North American market, which includes the United States, Canada, and the Dominican Republic.

I was part of the strategy team that defined requirements with business stakeholders, supervised 4 designers to build a setup flow, and managed the process through accessibility, user testing, development, and a soft launch with a group of Amway distributors who helped us test during the launch phase. We value their feedback and continue to improve the experience of MyShop in production.

ShareBar

ShareBar allows Amway distributors to share links to products with their customers and earn attribution from any resulting sale. If the customer decides to leave the page their distributor sent them and continue to browse amway.com, the customer will see a “Shopping With” banner on the page, and the distributor will earn money from any product the customer decides to purchase during that session.

Amway North America Personalized Storefront Experience

I also collaborated with Amway’s North America market to create a storefront experience that is decoupled from but still inspired by the Amway Creators brand and the Amway Design System that I helped to define and build.

Personal Storefront Concept 1

This concept showcases a personalized storefront view that gives Amway distributors the ability to add content like lists, favorites, and challenges. Click the "21 Day Skin Reset" section to view an example of a challenge. They’re also able to add a cover photo, a profile photo, a bio, contact information, their social media links, and even pull in Amway social feeds like @artistrystudioofficial (not their personal social feeds).

Personal Storefront Concept 2

This concept showcases a personalized storefront view that includes what a guest would see upon arrival, as well as what a logged-in user/customer would see. It consists of a simplified checkout flow (click the “Kombuch-Yeah!” product to add it to your cart) that displays a personalized checkout confirmation screen, as well as an email follow-up sent directly to the customer after the purchase.
